Dynamo GU17 Win
PA Classics College Showcase

The Dynamo U17 Girls travelled to Lancaster, Pennsylvania the weekend of December 8th, 2012 and won their flight in the PA Classics College Showcase tournament. Dynamo defeated Southampton SA (PA East) 1-0, drew with Capital Area CASA-CAPA (PA East) 1-1, and defeated Hotspurs Soccer (PA West) 1-0 to finish atop the flight with 7 points. The early season result was particularly impressive considering the opponents had all competed in Fall tournaments, and had been training together since September. Additionally, the GU17's needed to overcome a late start to their indoor training (six of the players could not join team practices until mid-November when the high school state tournament concluded), which forced the 17 players from seven different area high schools (including four new players) to reacclimatize quickly. Despite the challenges, the GU17's found their usual possession rhythm by the middle of the first match and never looked back. The girls exhibited excellent goalkeeping, very solid defending, midfield play that dictated the pace of the games, and dangerous attacking.

Congratulations to the ladies and Coach Quinlan! If this first tournament is any indication, the 2012-2013 season promises to be very successful.

Dynamo U16 Girls Place 2nd out of 16
at the Needham College Showcase!!!

The Dynamo U16 Girls participated in the 36th annual Needham MPS College Showcase tournament and represented Dynamo well by finishing 2nd overall out of 16 teams in the second flight. Dynamo defeated Seacoast United (New Hampshire) 4-0, Mass Premier (Massachusetts) 1-0,  and Nor'Easter Academica (Massachusetts) 6-0 in round robin play to win their group. The team then defeated Blackhawks SC(Massachusetts) 4-0 in the semifinals before losing to South Central Premier (Connecticut) 1-0 in the Championship match. It was a tremendous showing at a high level event. The girls showed heart and determination while playing a high tempo, possession oriented style of play.  Congratulations girls!

Congratulations to Aleksander Dombrowski!

Dynamo Elite Soccer Academy's BU16 player, Aleksander Dombrowski, recently participated in the '96 Region I Boys pool winter training. This event brought together the top 40 players in Region I in order to select the groups for Inter Regional play with National team trials and also a group to travel to Italy for international play.  "Every player was very focused and gave 100% while trying to win a spot on the inter-regional team and international trip. The trainings and games were very fast and very competitive" said Aleksander Dombrowski.

"We are thrilled that Aleks continues to receive attention from top Region I coaches.  His hard work and dedication to the game continues to provide these excellent opportunities that only aid his growth as a player." said DESA / WSA's Director of Coaching, Yuri Lavrynenko.

Aleksander lives in Honeoye Falls, NY and has been a part of Webster Soccer Association since 2007.  He has been training at the Yuri Lavrynenko Soccer academies, camps and clinics, and attends individual sessions with YLS since 2006.

Dynamo U16 Boys Place 1st
at the Baltimore Mania Tournament!!!

The Dynamo U16 Boys defeated teams from New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Maryland in the Baltimore Mania Tournament. They outscored their opponents 11 goals to 3. In the final they handily defeated Berks Ajax FC, winning 2 to 1. It was a great first time outing on grass for the boys, showing spirit, determination and the benefit of their hard work during the winter months. Congratulations to the boys!

Congratulations to the Dynamo E.S.A BU12
2011 State Cup Champions!!!

Cortland, NY - This past weekend (June 3-5, 2011), our Dynamo Elite Soccer Academy Boys Under 12 team competed in the NYS West State Cup competition, which is part of U.S. Youth Soccer’s National Championship Series. In early matches, the team defeated premier teams from Buffalo and Rochester. In the lead going into the final day of competition, Dynamo tied Syracuse to capture the State Cup Championship. In the three state matches, the team scored six goals and allowed only one goal against, achieving two shutouts. As state champions, Dynamo E.S.A. BU12 advances to U.S. Soccer’s Region One Finals in Lancaster, PA. The competition takes place at the end of the month (June 30 – July 4, 2011) featuring state champions from Virginia to Maine.

Dynamo E.S.A. BU13, BU16 and GU12 also qualified to take part in the 2011 State Cup Championships.  Out of the seven Dynamo E.S.A. teams registered for the State Cup competition four went through to the final four weekend in Cortland.   Two more teams, BU14 and BU15, were very close but eventually lost on PK's in the final play down games.

"We are very proud of our players for everything they are able to accomplish in our young program.  To win State Cup and have 3 other teams in the Final Four in the second year of the program speaks volumes to the dedication of our players, our coaching staff and our administrative staff.  It also shows the effect of the high quality training our players received three times a week since November.  We look forward to continuing working with these great group of players" said Dynamo E.S.A. Director of Coaching Yuri Lavrynenko.
